Fluke 865 Graphical Digital Multimeter > needs Calibration
« on: December 12, 2023, 02:05:59 am »
Hi All,
I have never had any of my gear calibrated so I am comming at you as an ignorant son of a B. haha
I have a Fluke 865 Graphical Digital Multimeter that works perfectly but the DC Volts has slowly gone out of calibration.( roughly +- 1/2 volt)  Does anyone have an idea where I could get it calibrated in Canada? Preferably Quebec? Also what would your guess be on the cost?
I looked in the service manual and I just don't have the calibration equipment to do the job. It does look quite simple.

Cheers and Happy Holidays.

Check here for accredited labs:

There are a fair number in Quebec.  Note that commercial work isn't usually cheap, but possibly if they are too pricey they can suggest alternatives.

0.5 volt on which scale(s)?  Unless that is on the 300V or 1000V range, that is a significant error and I'd be dubious that calibration alone would be the fix.
A 3.5 digit 4.5 digit 5 digit 5.5 digit 6.5 digit 7.5 digit DMM is good enough for most people.

I second that message. If it is half a volt in any lower range it is not a calibration issue unless this has been tampered with. What ranges exactly have that issue?
When it fits stop using the hammer
