Keithley 2010 VFD Display issue
« on: April 24, 2023, 05:15:58 am »
Hi All

I have replaced the VFD in my 2010 which was working just very dim and now it is very bright BUT I have one row of segments (as per picture) that is on constantly.  Anyone have an idea as to what might be wrong (or what I did wrong :-))
It had the jumper from the VFD to U403 already and seems ok.

Thanks
Allan

The jumper is not factory original, someone probably did it before you.
From the photo it would appear that the visible soldering of this jumper shorted two tracks together.
But question of course is: Even with weak display before replacement was this problem there or not?
Check carefully with a powerful lens that there are no small bits of tin shorting tracks/pads.
I see a lot of them on the pcb.
