Conformal coating type identification

Hi,
can you please help identify the type of this conformal coating? It is on the PCB from a VFD manufactured around 2000, not totally clear, rather brownish in color. When it is scraped it chips off. When soaked in acetone for 12 hours it softened and it is possible to scrape it off with e.g. my nail. When acetone evaporated the coating is again hard.

I hoped I will be able to remove the coating in acetone. It somehow helped but after 12 hours I got some soldermask damage...

Possibly the acrylic type.
