Help me to recognize this crystal resonator
« on: August 01, 2020, 03:07:32 pm »
Hi there. This is a board from Steinel heat gun.
There is a micro msp430f4152. I thought it could be a watch crystal 32.768kHz, but I'm not sure. I put a watch resonator and it doesn't work. How can I find the value of this resonator?
There is written M802D4

Thanks in advice.

The MSP430F4152 is an 8MHz MCU ...

802 -> 80 x 10^2 kHz -> 8 MHz

The clock system in the MSP430F41x2 is supported by the FLL+ module that includes support for a 32768-Hz
watch crystal oscillator, an internal very low-power low--frequency oscillator, an internal digitally-controlled
oscillator (DCO), and an 8-MHz high-frequency crystal oscillator (XT1).

Written in the datasheet.
