Chassis connector
« on: November 27, 2016, 07:06:35 pm »
I am looking for a wire to chassis connector. The chassis could be the steel frame of a PC enclosure for example, or some steel plate protrusion in the boot of a car for another example.

Of course I can use a crocodile connector but vibrations will knock it off, I need something much more secure.

I do not want to dril a hole on the chassis.

I am imagining a g-clamp style of small connector (rather than a crocodile one) with a screw that secures the g-clamp onto the plate, and the same screw also secures the wire.

Is there something like that and what is it called?

Why not a crimp-on lug remove an existing screw, add the lug, and re-install the screw?

Something like this?

Radiator earth clamp. Fairly large, though.

Yes that's precisely it... I have used a heavy duty crocodile connector in the interim.
