cambridge Audio Azure 651a protection mode Help Biasing

hi, I am currently trying to diagnose the fault on a Cambridge Audio Azure 651a amplifier but so far I'm struggling as there appears to be very little evidence of a fault.  when the unit is powered up it immediately defaults to protection mode and the protection light flashes once to describe a DC fault.  I have checked for dry joints, all capacitors etc and tried to test the Darlington transistors, however they are a type I am not familiar with having 4 pins not the usual 3.  I have also noticed there is hot glue all over many of the resistors and I am suspecting this may be causing some issues.  can anyone suggest anything else I should check?

Well it seems I am possibly making some progress with this amp.  I have noticed there are 3 components missing from the input board power section.

D17 400V 1A rectifier 1N4004 D041   
D15 15v 1A Signal Diode 1N4148 D035
C78 100nF 250v Poly Capacitor

I have checked the service manual and all should apparently be there but I'm guessing they were fitted badly and simply fell out.  Where they are now is anyone's guess though.  Will order the parts tomorrow and see if it solves the problem.

OK parts now added and the amp now powers up fine, it passes the self test and the speaker relays trigger on but... now I have a new fault.

The protection circuit now kicks in and triggers 3 flashes which apparently means Temporary Overload.   My guess now is that the amplifier bias is out and it's triggering the protection circuitry.  I have never adjusted bias before, can anyone help me with the process.  I can see two arrows on the board but it isn't clear where to connect to and the service manual doesn't mention it.  There are 4 adjustment pots and a value in mV to set to.  I have a few concerns.

1) as the amp needs to be powered on there will be high voltage on the board and I don't want to be shocked so I don't want to link the wrong points.  can anyone confirm that I'm measuring from the Diode to the resistor leg as marked in my pic or is this wrong?

2) assuming I get it powered up, I am supposed to leave it on before biasing it but if it trips protection then it isn't technically on so should I disable the protection system?

3) is there a specific order I should adjust the bias? left then right or doesn't it matter?

4) is it OK to power up the amplifier without speakers attached for the measurement?
