B+K Precision knobs from the 1970s 80s

I just received my 8$ NTSC generator model 1251.
Front panel was a bit dented so I want to remove all the knobs and unbuckle the panel.
Most knobs came off easy since they are friction fit, there's no set screw.
But the only dual-knob is the one that won't come off. Anyone familiar with this type? Has the knob been pushed too far down the shaft and that's why it won't budge?
Otherwise all I can see doing is prying it out with a screwdriver but the front panel is clean, I don't want to scratch it too.

Guess I have to hand in my man card. I was a bit too cautious, thinking the hollow knobs would crack if I used too much force.

A Vise Grip with some wood pieces in the jaw helped to pull it off. It was really jammed in tight! Now to unbuckle the panel.
