Gould 1425 Oscilloscope No Trace
« on: September 14, 2019, 04:18:11 pm »
Hi all
I have a gould 1425 storage scope that I got off E-Bay (Bought as not working )
The scope switches on but has no trace
The heaters are on and I've checked the voltages except the -1800 volt line because I don't have the correct probe
but I think I've found the problem in that NPN Transistor Q407 in the Y Amplifier, does anybody know if this could be
the culprit or do I need to look elsewhere?

Thanks
Ian

There is not enough information in your question to give much more than a general reply.

Yes, a problem in the vertical amplifier can easily send the beam off the screen preventing one from seeing any trace.
