I got this off ebay with no cord and I soldered on a 3-pin plug and turned it on for 5,10s 2-3 times I guess, maybe 30s-60s on the last time.
This was December, I did see some green trace for some moment on it, so it's alive for the most part. If irc the trace disappeared and so I turned it off. And then I know this for sure, it has the mains coming into a fuse holder and I had turned it so that it was shorting out on the power switch. And so it that was the last time it worked.
I have ordered and have most of the replacement electro caps, but I still don't have the proper solder.
The traces and even big plated parts of the PCB (the power section, never cracked the other 1/2 yet) have gold traces. So I guess its gold. I have the schematics/manual, and it calls for 3% silver solder.
