Cat walking across solar panels increases output.
« on: November 20, 2020, 05:10:33 am »
Not sure if this bank of solar panels is putting out much at mid-day.  But then the cat waked across is, zoom in to see the cat’s paw prints in the top right. I’m thinking this much have increased the output from the panels, right?

Maybe the other cats do a better job cleaning the panels?  I’m thinking they might roll across them instead of just walking.

Seriously I have no idea why this one is so dirty and the others aren’t.  There are a lot of panels in this grid which are just as dirty.  With the panels this dirty, I’m thinking the output must be next to nothing even at mid-day.

Maybe it is treated so as to reduce the performance down to the abysmal efficiency of a typical solar roadway.

These solar roadway projects seem to easily gain funding from scientifically illiterate governments so maybe the the owners of these panels decided they wanted a slice of that easy funding.

Our schools, at least in the US, teach students to believe in the impossible.  Solar roadways seem impossible.  All you have to do believe and they are possible.  We don't need no stinking laws of physics.

Yeah. It's not impossible.
It's worthless, economically hopeless, maintenance nightmare, incredibly low lifetime of a few weeks, and just plain dumb. But not impossible.
