What type of SYNC pulse does L5991 need?

Hi,
What type of SYNC pulse does L5991 need  when its in "slave" mode?
Page 8 says its "edge triggered" so presumably it doesnt matter how long the SYNC pulse is?
(and presumbly its rising edge triggered?)
The datasheet is not clear about this
