BTS5016 High Side Dual Switch
« on: June 17, 2021, 03:21:45 pm »
I am lost as to the lack of a proper "truth table" for the device.

My question is, should the DEN pin be high or low for output?

In Table 8 on page 28, it shows me that it should be high for the load to be provided supply voltage - current.
Is this correct? I know it's and old Infineon part that they touted and dropped for the latest thing, but it's a question of having it in quantity already.
Has anyone used this family of MOSFET switches before?

Voltage does not flow, nor does voltage go.

Neither! The DEN and DSEL pins are for diagnostic purposes, not for controlling the output.  The truth table for the diagnostic pins is in section 7 of the datasheet.

The IN0 and IN1 pins control the output, and are active high as per the diagrams in section 5.

I've been awfully busy to respond. I also haven't tested the IC yet, but I appreciate your feedback. Perhaps next weekend will be better to give it a go.
