Yaesu FT-221 repeater shift
« on: June 14, 2014, 04:43:08 pm »
Hello,

Has anyone done a repeater shift mod on one of these radios? I have one and would like to have the repeater offset facility. I also intend to install a ctcss board to inject the sub-audible tone into the modulator.

I want to do the repeater mod for UK repeaters.

Thanks in advance,

Chris.

P.S. If anyone has a mutek front end for this rig for sale, I'd be interested.

I don't know what the shift is in the UK but:
From my manual
for the 146.5 band the crystal is X210 the correct frequency would be 14.200 MHz minus the shift in KHz divided by 9
for the 147 band the crystal is X211 the same formula but 14.255 MHz
