openEMS - Blender Video Guide - Rotman Lens
« on: June 22, 2024, 09:02:08 pm »
Hi everyone, I've been asked many times to create a video tutorial/guide on how to use Blender for openEMS simulations. And so I have now created a video on YouTube. The video will show you to first create geometries and specify ports, export them to openEMS as STL files, writing a few python scripts to export port coordinates and data from paraview, and then using geometry nodes to visualise and animate the results back in Blender.

The video is based on the Rotman lens animation I did previously shown here https://www.eevblog.com/forum/projects/electromagnetic-simulations-renders-with-openems-blender/msg5542239/#msg5542239 as the workflow for it covers a wide range of topics. I hope you find this video informative.
