Having spoken to a disgruntled TE customer services adviser some time ago I settled on their ampmodu board to wire connection system (ampmodu IV and V to be exact). Got some 3 pin parts and am happy with them.

Now i want 6+ pins and guess what, they are like rocking horse shit. I['m really at the end of my tether with TE, they have stuff that is great if only you could get it and their tooling is astronomically priced due to internal politics of how they split the various manufacturing up into divisions. They are also a nightmare to deal with on the whole as now that they are a huge conglomerate who have bought up no only other manufacturers but their distributors you just get passed from department to department and no one really wants to help or can help.

So I'm practically back to square one, needing a range of PCB connectors that will do -46/+125C with a 2.54-3mm pitch spacing and that I can actually buy.

Any ideas ?

Well i've emailed them but looking at their range they don't do anything for PCB's or anything that small really.

The only other company I've used a lot is Samtec, but can't remember how they were with temperature.

FCI DuBox used to be 125c rated... at least the datasheets hint to that, but Farnell for example has only the low temperature blue ones (-40c -- 105c).  The gray ones were supposed to be high temperature (125c). Click on the technical datasheet and see: http://uk.farnell.com/fci/71991-305lf/socket-2row-5way/dp/1097988

They say the same for their 2.00 mm minikek series on the main page here: http://www.fci.com/en/products/input-output-connectors/200-mm-wire-to-board-io/mintek-crimp.html , but all the part numbers say operating range only up to 105c.

Maybe give one of FCI's agents a message and ask.

hm well I can live with +105C it's the -46C that is the problem although -40C is acceptable
