Suggestions needed for coplanar board to board connectors
« on: April 01, 2022, 05:46:58 am »
Hey All,

I am looking for coplanar PCB to PCB connectors for a project. The idea is that one module which will be about 400 to 500 mm in length can be mounted on the wall, and another module of same size can be connected underneath it, and another one underneath that one and so on. To be clear it would be nice if the second and third module could be hang from the first module without having the need to have them seperately mounted. I think 20 contacts in total will be enough, my idea is to have two connectors on each side. current capablity of 3 to 4 Amps is more than enough, and I also don't need high speed signals, half a megahertz clock max. So I think my main focus is on load bearing capability and duralibility of the connector. It will be nice if the connectors had some push/press or squeeze to release type of mechanism.

I would appreaciate some suggestions or concerns regarding the concept.

Kind Regards,
Sparsh
