ST25PE40 SPI 4Mbit EEPROM replacement
« on: April 04, 2022, 09:59:45 am »
The subject part has become unavailable as have the AT25PE40 (Adesto aka Dialog) and M25PE40 (Microchip).

Replacement should be in SOIC-8N (to avoid a board re-spin), and support low speed SPI (the ARM LPC2388 won't do SPI at 40MHz for example).

Obviously replacement can be larger capacity but must be a straight swap (i.e. identical SPI protocol, 3.3V, pinout etc.).

To save time fighting through a milliard datasheets has anyone been there, done that and have a recommendation?

Thanks
David

Which chips arent static logic (have minimum clock rates)?

I'm seeing such commodity flash chip equivalents stocked in regular channels, from regular brands. Even microchip replacements/equivalents or the equivalents you mentioned! Send money please.
