Sourcing GC10 Solder Paste
« on: March 08, 2024, 03:06:30 am »
Does anyone have a good place to source Multicore GC10 solder paste (formerly Loctite GC10)? I've found some type 3 but I'm also interested in the type 4 and 5. I'm soldering some smd chips that have VQFN .25mm pads. I'd like to not have to buy multiple $100+ containers of GC10.

To provide a bit of closure for those who find themselves in a similar situation, ChipQuik makes GC10 under their own name. It is their “thermally stable solder paste NC (no-clean) Sn96.5/Ag3.0/Cu0.5 T4” stuff that is GC10 but under a different name. This is my first venture into solder paste so I don’t have anything to compare it to. However, it certainly seems to work just like how others have described GC10.
