This Very Simple Do It Yourself Circuit Is Very Cheap And Easy To Make , It's looks really cool how it led works . The Photo diode is connected in series with an LED and placed in front of each other When a button on a remote is pressed infrared light from remote decreases photo-diode resistance and thereby LED glows and keeps on latched until you break light between photodiode and led Cool !

This Circuit Latches based on its own optical feedback , a transparant photodiode is connected in series with white led ,but there are few catches only works in low or medium light environments ,if you have any improvements please let me know !

That's novel ,  although I would like to see a resistor in there to limit the current.

Actually Photodiode itself acts as a currunt limiting ressistor here at full light its ressistance is about 1.5k ohm .
