July 2019 issue of Silicon chip in the Circuit Notebook section has a diagram for a 74LSxx series logic tester build around the DS89C430-MNL microprocessor.
This is my first foray into programming chips so on a steep learning curve.
The DS89C430-MNL is not a cheap chip and from my reading is pin and instruction set compatible with the older and much cheaper 80C52.
Am I demonstrating my total ignorance
in thinking I can substitute the 80C52 and all will be fine?
