What diodes can I use for a 1.4GHz downconvrt mixer?
« on: September 11, 2024, 12:59:39 am »
I want to apply these diodes in the circuit attached to this post. RF and LO will be fed into a hybrid coupler, then through the 2 mixing diodes. I want to down convert 1.4GHz to around 20-50 Mhz.

What are the diode characteristics to look for when choosing one for a mixer at some frequency?
How do I know what input powers to feed for LO and RF to have the diodes mix?
Can BAT54s or BAS16s work?
What are some diodes I can use?
