CCFL Driver Data

I want to make a lamp out of 2 CCFLs I found in the monitor of a broken computer I had. I know the pinout of the driver (on board) but I don't know the voltage. I ran it to about 10v and it didn't turn on but I'm afraid to go any higher in case it's another reason it's not turning on. (I tried touching the on/off pin to both positive and negative)

Do you have enough of the power supply that you can trace backwards and estimate supply voltage?

It came out of a cheap integrated computer with everything in the monitor. I'm pretty sure it ran on a single 18V power supply with local regulation. I've run it all the way to 18v and it's drawn no current (or less then 10mA). I've already checked the on board fuse.

I'll see if I can get data for the chips.

It will have an enable input that will likely need to be pulled to 5V to turn it on.

Um...oops...I put the on/off pin to the power bus (first thing I tried). Nothing happened though, so nothing new blew out that wouldn't already be dead. If the chip had blown I would have expected it to go short and blow the fuse. It might have an over-volt diode on the input, so I could still try 5V and see if it starts.
