Safe way to apply voltage on output of buck converter?
« on: December 11, 2019, 03:36:13 pm »
I am doing a design with supercaps for power backup and I'm using a LMR14030 buck converter to charge the caps. I am worried that the ic is not designed to have power applied to the sw pin. I added a diode (D5) to vin to prevent current leaking back into the input rail, and I am using the en pin to disable the ic until vin is higher than the maximum voltage on the supercaps. Will this work fine?
