SMD Component source in the UK with cheap/free shipping?

I'm going to be building a few SMD projects in the following few months, and I need to order a load of passives and connectors etc. I've been looking at RS, Digikey, all the big players, but they all charge ridiculous money for shipping, £12 for a couple of 0402 resistors?! You've gotta be shittin' me!
Any recommendations?

Farnell (£3.95 until you pass £20, then free), Rapid (don't recall, free after £30 or £35, very cheap resistors..).

Looks like it's £4 on Rapid, not too bad I guess, but not great either...
Maybe I'll just go the whole way and buy an assorted box of 0805s or something.

There are plenty of people selling reasonable SMD resistor, capacitor and transistor kits on ebay. I'd far rather have a kit about rather than order specific values until I needed to buy a reel.

I buy almost everything off ebay, but for very small amounts of items, it's not ideal...
It's probably what I'll end up doing anyway though.
