Testing my new self-made 3D-printer (video)
« on: June 12, 2013, 09:27:04 pm »
Made with 30x30mm equal angle aluminum profiles and 8mm rods.
The extruder is bought as a kit, can not remember the name.
Steppers: 17 size
Stepper drivers: THB7128
Controller board: Arduino Mega2560
Idlers and holders made on a lathe.
Timing belt is from a T-REX 500 RC helicopter.

Written in AVR GCC, no Arduino IDE where used (it sucks)
PC host written in Java (Processing) (it also sucks :))

Source code is attached.

Don't mind the test object! :)

Awesome!!! Print off a couple and make some coat hooks... or doorknobs... or toiler flusher... or custom handle for an oral irrigator. The possibilities are endless.

I just hope you don't have a 3d scanner as well.

you should know why a man need another penis. btw Clone-A-Willy, coupled with 3D scanner as mentioned and the printer, can produce more professional, repeatable realistic and unforgettable gift to folks. ;)

It seems to be better than Makerbot.

Ebay, as most of the other materials  :)

The printer can also make other usable things, not just green gentleman bits!   :D
