Didin't find a datasheet for it but found a product page for a similar unit that says it uses LVDS/sub-LVDS
Even if you get a bigger screen the coding is made for an X by X resolution, you wont get a better one if you resize the display, but you'll see the display better up to a point ...
It’s difficult, I have the data sheets for the A and C variants and there’s a few subtleties to the interface including some which are programmed for the application. I will be at my computer tomorrow and can send some print screens of the pin out but I cant share the data sheets as they are under NDA. I can also let you know what to look out for. I think youre definitely going to need some FPGA between this driver and the new display. It’s not an easy plug and play project.
Oh hell yeah, been lookin for a datasheet like this for AGES. Thanks a ton! Ok, looks like it's bog standard RGB 888 or YCbCr88, so in theory if you tap those signals and break them out, should be pretty trivial to port out to a different display.
