I have tried to find something suitable to install a CR2430 battery at the end of a PCB while keeping the thickness at absolute minimum (the attachment shows where the battery should be). The battery would be replaced by opening the thin end of the enclosure. CR2430 is 30 mm thick and I can fit the PCB into a 3.1x24.5 mm slot. Is it possible to fit the battery + contacts into that slot? Where can I find such contacts? All I can find are ones for on top of a PCB installation or with a way too thick battery holder.
I don't mind making the slot a bit wider, if that would help. Maybe I could put the + contact to the side or to the end of the PCB touching the side of the battery?
The prototype has a battery with solder tabs making it difficult to replace and 3.5 mm thick:
