68020 ?

Hi all......Is anybody here good with Motorola CPU's. I have a board with master and slave 68000 cpu's present. I have a small interface board with a 68020 which plugs into the master socket and the system works ok with an increase in performance !  But i cannot get a 68020 to function in the slave socket !  The data-bus is 16-bits for the 68000 and therefore holds two eproms, high and low. The slave also has the same scenario, but connects to the master side via 8-bits and not 16 !  If there is anybody out there that is familiar with such designs, i would be willing to pay for somebody to make me a circuit for the slave socket and ofcourse i could provide proper information.
