Gyro sensor for absolute angle detection

Is there a gyro/acceleration sensor which can be used for detecting absolute angle of the sensor?

I'm testing currently the LIS2DH from ST but the resolution is somehow low if I want to detect an angle at 1 degree resolution....or maybe I am using it wrong (o;
