AmScope eyepiece issue

I just bought an AmScope SM-3T. The eyepieces do not seem to fit snugly into the scope. In fact they barely rest into the edge of the ocular tubes. What could I be doing wrong?

I have a pair of old Zeiss eyepieces that are ribbed to reach a 30mm outer diameter. I have to turn them to snug them up in eyepiece tubes that expect a smooth and constant 30mm diameter.
Have you measured the O.D. of the eyepieces and I.D. of the tubes?

On my Amscope (or clone) the eyepieces are mostly round tubes (with some lenses) that slide around 20mm into the tubes sticking out of the scope. It's a loose fit with around 0.5mm of play in it. I guess this is normal and it never bothered me.

Same here, it's a loose fit and when I pull my had back after looking through the microscope, they often lift a little and fall back in place.
I think it's normal, but if it's annoying, you can try inserting a piece of paper or something like that.

I would suggest a piece of something that doesn't shed particles. Insulating or teflon tape, aluminium foil, etc.
