Make a BLE Accessories that is connected to iPhone
« on: December 08, 2013, 10:06:41 pm »
Hi everyone ,
I'm an iOS developer and I want to create a product that can communicate with my iPhone via BlueTooth Low energy (Bluetooth 4.0)
I know how to develop the iOS part using Core Bluetooth, but I have no idea how to begin.

I have two questions (knowing that I leave in France) :

1/
Have you links to products (programmable Bluetooth Low Energy chip) that I can buy on the internet to begin with ,knowing that

in my project I need also a sensor of movement , when the sensor of movement detect a movement it notify the chip and the chip notify my iPhone ?

2/ What is the best programmable Bluetooth Low Energy chip that can be coupled with a sensor of movement and have you link of sensor that can be coupled with my chip?

I guess you are looking for an accelerometer, or perhaps an IMU.

Here is a good place to start: http://www.sensorsmag.com/sensors/acceleration-vibration/the-five-motion-senses-mems-inertial-sensing-transform-appli-6533?print=1

TI sensor tag is a good kit based on cc2540 it's pretty easy to customize too.

nRF51822 is probably the best BLE doc but the resources a little more difficult to get ahold of.

If I were you, I would start out with the sensor tag.

Check out bluegigas selection of BT 4.0 modules, they're pretty inexpensive, small and easy to use: http://www.bluegiga.com/en-US/products/bluetooth-4.0-modules/
Come and check my projects at http://www.dgkelectronics.com ! I also tweet as https://twitter.com/DGKelectronics

Think for your replies it was very helpful,

I haver one more question :

1/
For the sensor I want a censor that detect the movement of any object that fly above the bluetooth device (1m) not the device itself and it works with this chip :
