I2C parts for audio applications
« on: September 11, 2013, 09:52:10 pm »
I am interested in controlling the input selection and volume of an audio amplifier from an embedded controller. Wondering what sort of parts are suitable and reasonably cheap and easy to use.  Note: I am using OPA2134 opamps in the pre-amp which have distortion: 0.00008%, and low noise so I wouldn't want to degrade that.

Thanks for any help.

There are also the famous PGA2310/20 which is SPI, not I2C, but they work.

None of that matters much for audio applications.

If you want to switch audio, you need to look for a particular feature.
