Hi, I'm designing a board, and I have the following requirements:
- USB charged
- LiPo battery (approx 3-4.2V range)
- 5V output voltage
- Up to 2A peak output current
- Small footprint (non-BGA)
Up to this I've been using MCP73871 for charging and TPS61092 to boost the battery voltage to 5V, but I'm looking for a single-chip solution.
I've looked through TI's site (specifically the BQ24 and BQ25 series), and didn't really find anything that suited this application. I don't need USB OTG boost.
Then I found chips from Active-semi and Maxim on Mouser.com
The Active-semi one caught my eye since it's only $2, while the others are around $4-5.
Has anyone tried these, or similar, and could help me out here?
