Poker Chip Scale
« on: September 03, 2024, 11:39:34 pm »
Hello everyone,

I’m excited to dive back into my project phase, and recently, I’ve developed a keen interest in poker.

I’m planning to build a scale that can weigh poker chips and determine their value. Imagine a rectangular felt mat with designated areas for $1, $5, $25, and $100 chips. When you place the chips in their respective areas, the scale will calculate the weight, determine the value, and display your total chip value.

This will be phase one of the project. It’s straightforward and should help me get back into the swing of things.

In phase two, I aim to add a feature for tracking turns. When it’s my turn, the system will announce how much I’ve contributed to the pot, so players don’t have to manually calculate the total.

Previously, I’ve used a Teensy 4.1 microcontroller, and I plan to use it again for this project. However, I’m looking for a scale that can detect differences as small as 10 grams. Does anyone have recommendations for such scales?

Thanks in advance for your help!
