Please identify this connector
« on: March 29, 2017, 07:45:17 am »
I would like to add a modification to my VSB door opener and preferably by not altering the existing circuit.

I can do this if I create a daughter board with the type of pins shown in the photos and then route back to the original using the same connectors.

Please help me identify these connector (and pins).  The connectors slide onto the pins with the ridges grabbing the pins along their length.

It is all quite small. (Haven't measured it yet).

Thanks

They look like Vogt receptacles to me:

For the life of me I can't find a generic name for these. I have seen them in the local mom-and-pop electronics shop, if you can't find them, you could paypal me the money and I'll buy and send them to you.

That said, you can almost certainly use a wide variety of female crimp connectors on those pins, I reckon.

OK.  Thanks to your info I think I have found these...

PCB Contact Pins aka PCB Take Off Pins

and

associated Crimp Sockets

I think my pins are around 1.5mm (maybe 1.3mm) so somewhere around 15awg

The Vogt ones I linked to come in 1.0 and 1.3mm, so probably it's the 1.3mm, then!
