Help identifying magnetic angle sensor
« on: April 09, 2024, 04:00:09 pm »
Image 1 - the part I'm looking is from BMW "eccentric shaft sensor"
Image 2 - Inside there's two of these chips.
Image 3 - removed chip with 5 pins.

There's similarly looking KMA215, but it has 3 pins.

This chip has 5 and other than power supply pins it also needs a clock signal (found in docs and one youtube video of someone probing it in a car with scope). It'd be interesting to see datasheet and learn about data protocol.

Thanks!

Right, I may have found it:

5 pins. Power pins match (figured out from decoupling caps). Other pins are chip select, data clock, data.
