Understanding relay specifications
« on: September 11, 2019, 11:05:48 am »
I'm after an SSR with similar ratings to the OMRON G6S-2 24V. Looking the DS, I see

Approved Standards = UL, CSA
Dielectric strength (2,000 VAC)

Contacts
  Max. switching voltage 250 VAC, 220 VDC
  Rated load
    0.5 A at 125 VAC;
    2 A at 30 VDC
  Rated carry current     2A
  Max. switching current  2A

How do these contact specifications inter-relate?

I looked at the graph "Maximum Switching Capacity" Seems I can switch absolute max of about 0.25A at about 230VAC.

As for a SSR: What is a good product line? Something compact is needed.
