Altium QWAVE CM4 - Strange footprint / BOM
« on: September 29, 2021, 07:06:44 pm »
Hi,
a lot of people using Altium and making a Compute Module 4 project, seem to be using this library from QWAVE: https://github.com/QWaveSystems/QWAVE_Raspberry-Pi-CM4-Altium-Library

But... because the CM4 has 2 connectors, I don't get how a single library component can:
- have two footprints in the BOM (one for each of the connectors). I only see 1 in mine.
- in the pick-and-place file have two separate coordinates (one for each connector) from a single footprint (which does have the pads for 2 connectors).

Looking at all the PCBs made in that repository and other online projects there must be a way/solution to both of the above points. Can anybody explain how that works for that specific library?

Thank you :)
