How to identify part from numbering
« on: August 21, 2020, 01:46:56 am »
I wanted to buy some ACS70331EOLCTR-2P5U3 chips (SOIC-8 hall effect 0-2.5A current sense chips), but I couldn't find them in any of the main suppliers (in small quantities) but I did find them on Aliexpress, but I'm not sure they are what they say they are.

Before I solder them up and try them, is there any way I can tell from the numbering on the chip?

It shows 3 lines...

A70331
(Alegro Symbol) 1806
042k

I've checked the datasheet but can't find any codes.

Is there another place I can look?

Thanks,
Frank

I've checked the datasheet but can't find any codes.

Page 25 of the datasheet with package details also gives marking details.

Line 1: Part Number
Line 2: Logo A, 4 digit Date Code
Line 3: Characters 5, 6, 7, 8 of Lot Number

Gee, that sucks.  Looks like I'm going to have to test it.

Thanks for the extra set of eyes.
