High temperature resistor

I am looking for a resistor that can operate at 1000 degrees Celsius. Does such a thing exist and can someone point me in the right direction, The pest I can find is 230C

An electric fire element is a resistor that works in that sort of temperature range. you would most likely have to wind them yourself out of nichrome wire on some form of ceramic former. Trouble is the rest of your circuit will melt, copper melts at 1084 deg C.

Great Idea we have some nichrome wire on hand.
