Help Needed: NEC D7225G
« on: November 11, 2018, 02:23:30 pm »
Hey guys,

I got a board from an old machine that has 5x NEC D7225G connected to 5x 6-character 14 segment LCDs, the board is damaged and has quite a lot of components missing.

I was wondering if anyone would know how I could possibly hook up the D7225G to an arduino to drive a single LCD. Tried to read the datasheet but I really have no idea where I should start.

Will be grateful for any form of help
Thank you

The uPD7225G is a standard LCD controller/driver. The interface is a synchronouse serial 8 bit port. Thus you can control it with any MCU/CPU which has 3 ports or SCI.
