help identify pcb type/tech
« on: February 25, 2019, 08:08:28 pm »
Hi all,

can anyone help me identify the type of pcb technology used in this device and where to find such a fab service?
I was looking at a this link in Australian News  https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-02-24/clinical-trials-for-wearing-led-helmets-treatment-parkinsons/10836906
and specifically the photo of this device with some type of flex circuit technology but i can't figure out or find it online. thanks

Looks like a fairly mundane thin metal core / metal substrate PCB of the sort routinely used for LED lighting applications.

Doing the design to have a basically flat PCB bend like that and have the holes line up must have been 'Fun'.

Not cheap at that size, but quite doable for medical stuff, I dont think there is anything designed as a flex PCB here.

Regards, Dan.
