Help Dating a Chip
« on: January 19, 2023, 09:56:31 pm »
I have searched the datasheets but none mention how dating is stamped on these ZeroPower SRAMs.

Is the manufacture date 1999 for both of these examples, or is one 2014 and the other " alt="" class="bbc_img" />2021?

Its an important distinction for estimating remaining litium battery life

Thank you in advance.

Tinder? Sorry, had to...

But - I'd go for 6th week of 1999.
Not easy, not hard, just need to be incentivised.

Certainly not the 2xxx years. The EU battery directive forbade embedded cells before that, allowing only removable cells, and ST stopped production at that time IIRC.
9906 could be right.

I don't think they are forbidden.  St makes a slighlty different version with an embedded lithium cell as of Sep 2020.  See ATTACHED

Tinder? Sorry, had to...

My first read was "Help dating a chap"...

so Grindr, I guess.
A 3.5 digit 4.5 digit 5 digit 5.5 digit 6.5 digit 7.5 digit DMM is good enough for most people.

Last two lines:
99 = assembly site (Muar, Malaysia)
06S = lot code
VH = wafer fab (Carrollton, TX)
MYS = Malaysia
99 = test site (Muar)
YWW or YYWW = date code (single digit is 200Y)
A = die revision

Assuming they're both legit, of course, and not recycled and relabeled.
