I'm looking for an I2S Audio DAC
« on: December 11, 2012, 03:12:29 pm »
Hi everyone.

A design I am refreshing currently uses an AK4366 Audio Dac with I2S interface.
It's a 24 BIT Audio DAC, up to 48khz sampling rate, with 3.3v VCC

I can't find a supplier in the UK for this chip anymore. Neither Farnell, DigiKey nor RS stock it.

Can anyone suggest a reasonable quality Audio DAC with I2S Interface that I can use in place of this?
Doesn't need to be an exact replacement.

I remembered my stm32 discovery board has a Cirrus Logic one, so I looked it up for you: it's the cs43l22. http://www.cirrus.com/en/products/cs43l22.html If this isn't what you are looking for try their website for similar devices.

Carried by Farnell. Cheap as chips too.
