Larry Load Circuit diagram
« on: February 18, 2022, 12:18:14 am »
Does anybody have a copy of the circuit diagram, described by John Guy

In this article  https://www.electronicdesign.com/technologies/displays/article/21772797/resistive-dummy-load-draws-constant-current-from-12-to-50-v

Bookmarked the article after seeing it in someone twitter feed, awhile ago

Should have saved the article and diagram   |O

John Guy  has made available gerbers on Oshpark    https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/2RLfokAb

With some more modern components

All component values and reference designators changed from article though. All load resistors are off PCB too. Use 1% through hole resistors mounted to output banana jacks. U1 is REF3012, U2 is OPA313, and U3, optional, is TPS3702AX18DDCT for checking battery voltage. This version will work off 2 x AAA batteries.
