fly-back converter
« on: February 22, 2023, 06:27:34 am »
Hi,

How to set the flyback converter work in dcm mode i mean how do i choose critical magnetizing inductance so that the converter operates in DCM mode.

I found some equation

Lm critical =(vi * D * D * T)/(2 * Ii)

if Lm>Ltotal its DCM
if Lm<Ltotal its CCM
if Lm=Ltotal its boundary condition

where Vi =input voltage
D = duty ratio
T = total time period
Ii = input primary current
Lm = magnetizing inductance
Ltotal = Total inductance of primary

if above case then if i choose to calculate at minimum input voltage then i need to set maximum duty cycle and total time period in the above equation.

I got confused on these please guide me or provide materials related.

Thank you.

Why start a new thread, rather than using the existing one? :palm:
