US Galden HT230 sourcing for vapor soldering
« on: February 23, 2021, 12:35:21 am »
Hello,
I want to give vapor soldering a try and it seems the highest cost is sourcing Galden. Since I'm very unsure about the results, I would like to minimize the costs.
I contacted Synquest and Inland Vacuum and got about $350 for 1kg of product (ordering less would not reduce the price significantly).
Questions:
  • Any other suppliers in the US I should check?
  • Any good/bad experiences using a particular US supplier?
  • Since a typical usage seem to be below 0.5 kg, does anyone in the US (or even better, SF Bay Area) wants to split the order? Or alternatively sell their leftover Galden? PM me.
