osc optical probes

I was sat here thinking about whether anyone has ever designed or produced an optically connected probe for an oscilloscope before, possibly a pen type device with a memory built in that then transmits the memory to the main scope when say half full or such.

I have some daft ideas at times but you never know.

I think he meant an electrical probe with optical fiber connection to achieve full isolation.

That will do me, Sorry guys, been awake 2 days now so the brain is fried. Yep or completely free and mobile and data transmitted via bt or some such which would of course mean a lag and so not really RT .
