3s2p Lithium Battery and Charger
« on: July 25, 2024, 12:59:25 am »
I have a device that will be using a 3s2p lithium battery pack. If this was a standard device that used house power I would be set however this device might not have local house power nearby hence the battery pack. I found a UBBL25-FL pack and a UCH0038  charger from  Ultralife. I am not familiar with wiring this power to my device. The battery pack will be hardwired in the enclosure and I plan to have a barrel connection panel mounted to plug in the charger when the battery monitor shows low power. My question is can I have the charger connect to the battery pack while it is still powering my device or do I need to break the load circuit from the battery when charging? I understand that might increase charging time if even possible but I don't even know if it is standard practice. Thanks in advance.
