2.5Ghz 12 digit freq counter project from Aus

I found this earlier, thought it was rather interesting, that and the fact you can buy the bits still, and that it is set up with another project from 2009, a GPS frequency reference . have a look.

I have this counter sitting on my workbench right now. It was published in the UK by the magazine Everyday Electronics.
Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks.

I know, that is where I originally found the article and then went hunting on the Aus site for parts availability. Is it good ?. I like the GPS reference project too. Nice to have hanging around

Looks like a classic gated counter (60s tech). Resolution proportional to input frequency and gate time.
